James D. Hall, 86, Jonesboro, passed away at 7:55 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Wesleyan Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Mount Levi, Arkansas, on Saturday, May 22, 1937, to Ted and Fannie "Dewell" (Flint) Hall. On March 25, 1955, he married Dixie Darlene Kindle and she preceded him.
James attended Converse High School and retired from Fisher Body. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was also a member of the Scottish Rites. He liked to fish, work on cars and he could build anything. James was a jack of all trades. He was always willing to help others and never asked for anything in return. James loved to travel. He was always in his car going somewhere.
Survivors include his daughter, Jamie (Ron) Walters of Jonesboro; sons, Timothy "Tim" (Deb) Hall of Marion, Jeffrey "Jeff" (Rhonda) Hall of Converse; grandsons, Greg Walters, Ryan (Lindsay) Walters, Preston (Brittany) Hall; granddaughters, Alysha (Brandon) Scott, Jennifer (Nathan) Ropp, Chrissy (Brad) Cameron, Carrie Crull, Tia (TJ) Burrows, Pacia (Kenny) Herchberger; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary Young of Branson, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Fannie "Dewell" Hall; and his wife, Dixie Darlene Hall.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate James' life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will take place at Converse Cemetery.
