GRANT COUNTY, IN- On Saturday, 01/04/2025, the JEAN Team Drug Task Force concluded an investigation that involved Joscelyn Bounds, 33, and Alexandra Kindschi, 37.
During the course of the investigation, it was learned that they were traveling to and from Dayton, OH, possibly bringing illegal narcotics into Grant County. A traffic stop and K9 sniff were conducted on their vehicle on St. Rd. 18 and 600 East. It was found that Alexandra had a driving status of DWS-Prior. They were taken to the Grant County Jail for questioning.
While in processing, Joscelyn produced from her person a clear plastic bag containing approximately 49 grams of fentanyl.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that Alexandra was currently out on bond on three different cases. She is out on bond for DWS-Prior as an A Misdemeanor (cause #27H01-2105-CM-000293), Theft as an A Misdemeanor (cause #27H01-2006-CM-000349) and also for a third case for Dealing in Methamphetamine as a Level 2 Felony (cause #27C01-2304-F2-000009).
Alexandra Kindschi is currently in the Grant County Jail for the following charges:
1.) Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic with the Intent to Deliver, Level 2 Felony
2.) Obstruction of Justice, Level 6 Felony
3.) Driving While Suspended / Prior, Class A Misdemeanor
4.) Possession of Paraphernalia, Class B Misdemeanor
Joscelyn Bounds was also found to be out of jail on multiple bonds. She is out on bond for Theft, Level 6 Felony (cause #27C01-2208-F6-000534), Theft, Level 6 Felony (cause #27C01-2208-F6-000535), Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug, Level 5 Felony(cause #27C01-2409-F5-000143) and finally she is out on bond for Criminal Confinement with Injury, Domestic Battery and Auto Theft, Level 5 Felony (cause #27C01-2409-F5-000149).
Joscelyn Bounds is currently in the Grant County Jail for the following charges:
1.) Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug, Level 2 Felony
2.) Conspiracy to Deal Narcotic Drug, Level 2 Felony
3.) Possession of Paraphernalia, Class B Misdemeanor
It should be noted that fentanyl is a very dangerous drug that has hit the streets recently and it responsible for many untold overdose deaths currently in the United States and abroad. It is a known fact that only a very, very small amount can kill the average human being and it is commonly being used on the streets to cut other drugs or be pressed into use in pill form. Due to the amount of fentanyl located during this investigation, it is unable to be determined just how many lives may have been saved from its seizure.
