Jerry L. Whiteman, 61, of Marion, passed away at 3:12 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in his home. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, September 13, 1963, to Jerry Lee Whiteman and Joyce (Philebaum) Hollenbeck.
Jerry attended Marion High School and worked in the food industry. He loved to fish and was known as the life of the party. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He was the best grandpa, loved rock ‘n’ roll bands like Motley Crue and ACDC, and was a peacemaker who wanted everyone to get along.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Vivian (Zachariah Crews) Whiteman of Double Springs, AL; step-daughter, Lindsay Phillips of GA; sisters, Orella (Richard) Anderson and Melissa (Scott) Hawkins, both of Marion; brother, Terry (Trina) Roberts of Richmond; grandchildren, Zebhirah Crews, Benjamin Crews, Dakota Crews, Hayden Lawler, Shannon Lawler, and Avery Sherill; niece, Jerrica (Wyatt Lilly) Anderson of Elwood; and nephew, Andrew Fowler of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lee Whiteman; mother, Joyce Hollenbeck; brother, Marty Whiteman; grandson, Kristofer Crews; and ex-wife and mother of his children, Rita Whiteman.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service for Jerry.
