John Raymond Bolton, 71, of Newell, WV, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Blair Ridge Health Campus.
He was born August 24, 1952, in Canton, OH to Charles D. “Chuck” Bolton Sr. and Norma Agnes Bolton.
He was a hardworking man who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding motorcycles, listening to music, or having a cold beer while overlooking his meticulously cut yard. He also loved spending time at the ballpark watching his grandsons play baseball. He was a great Dad, Pap, Brother, Uncle, and friend. He will be missed by many.
John is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Tammi Lynn Bolton, and his son Chad Aaron West Bolton.
His loving family includes his children Shannon Marie Richard, Shawn William Emmerling, bonus daughters Melissa Pier and Lynn Minick; grandchildren Bryce Aaron Ward, Caiden Gene Richards, Brooklyn Marie Emmerling, and Brielle LeAyn Emmerling; an expectant great granddaughter Braelynn Shay Ward; siblings Lester (Phyllis) Hickman, Jenny (Jim) Merriman, Sharon (George Willis) Freeman, Martin Bolton, Chuck (Kathy) Bolton, Michelle (Doug) Stevens
Visitation will be held at the Allen Funeral Home, 136 S Elm St. Bunker Hill, Indiana, on August 20, 2024 from 11am-2pm. Funeral service will follow at 2pm with Pastor Bill Collins officiating. Burial will take place at Springdale Cemetery in Bunker Hill, Indiana.
