John Terry Duncan, 75, of Marion, passed away at home at 8:25 am on Sunday, October 27, 2024. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Monday, December 13, 1948, to John and Alice (Ailman) Duncan. On June 23, 1968, he married Patricia (Henderson), who survives.
John graduated from Marion High School in 1967. He then served in Vietnam 1969-1972 as a Military Policeman. He continued by serving for 26 years with the DNR as a telecommunications officer. John was a very family oriented man who enjoyed his grandchildren. He loved the lake life, boating and fishing.
John is survived by his wife, Patricia Duncan of Marion; daughters, Shellie (Mark Hale) Landry of Marion, Jennifer Goolsby of Marion; grandsons; Camon (Chaslyn) Landry, Donald Landry, Jacob Landry, Jarrod Landry, Caleb Goolsby, and Colton Goolsby; soon to be born great-grandson, Parker Landry; sister, Joan (Bob) Linville of Oregon, OH; niece, Susan Linville of Oregon, OH; nephew, Jeff Linville of Oregon, OH; several more nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Delores Henderson of Marion; and special friends, the Labs, Barbee and Dax.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Alice Duncan; and brother, Mike Duncan.
At John’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
