Joyce Anne Drake, born on November 20, 1946, in Wabash, Indiana, to Paul Raymond and Doris Arlene (Brandenburg) Ebbinghouse, passed away at her home in Manchester, Indiana, on December 12, 2024, at the age of 77.
A graduate of Manchester High School, class of 1964, Joyce dedicated over 30 years of her professional life to Heckman Bindery, where her commitment and hard work left a lasting impact. Her career showcased her practicality, a trait that defined much of her character throughout her life.
In 1975 Joyce married Arnold Paul Drake, although they never had any children, they loved their nieces and nephews dearly. Joyce was a woman of simple pleasures, finding joy in the unassuming aspects of life. She was grateful, loving, accepting, and spent countless hours feeding the birds and deer that frequented her yard. Her affinity for the simpler things extended to her cherished 1966 Mustang convertible, a symbol of pride that she purchased new and generously shared with her brother from time to time.
The loving memory of Joyce Drake will be forever cherished by her husband, Paul Drake, North Manchester; brother, Kenneth (Carol) Ebbinghouse, Fort Wayne; and several nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends may call Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 1:00p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor Ken Sistrunk officiating. Burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in North Manchester, Indiana.
