Julia Ann “Judy” Wray

Julia Ann “Judy” Wray, 99, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 10:10 pm, Friday, October 18, 2024, at Parkview Wabash Hospital.  She was born on August 6, 1925, in Wabash County, to Dorsey A. and Alice (Dooley) Brubaker.

Judy married G. Elbert Wray; he died in 1986. She was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife. Judy was a member of the New Journey Church in Wabash. She enjoyed farming and milking cows.

She is survived by two children, Sue Gardner and Chuck Wray, both of Wabash; four grandchildren, Tonya (Todd) Blair of Wabash, Alicia Letts of Hillsboro, Ohio, Christian Biggs of Columbia City, Indiana, and Cameron Biggs of Warsaw, Indiana; eight great-grandchildren, Jackson (Kelsey) Blair and Carson Blair, both of Indianapolis, Emily Letts, Abbey Letts and Luke Letts, all of Hillsboro, Thomas Biggs of Columbia City, Marshall Biggs and Brody Biggs, both of Warsaw.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda D. Biggs; three grandchildren, Clover Biggs, Tracy Good and Trisha Good; two brothers, Robert and Maxwell Brubaker; and three sisters, Mildred Brubaker, Nondus DeArmond, and Maxine Pickle.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, October 25, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Matt Haynes and Pastor Rob Tippey officiating. Burial will be in Chili Cemetery, Chili, Indiana.  Friends may call 9:30-11:00 am Friday, at the funeral home.
