Julie Ann Wilson, 62, Gas City, passed away peacefully at 4:08 am on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Saturday, October 28, 1961, to Donald "Runt" and Dolores "Red" (McPherson) Linn. She was married to her loving husband, Timothy A. Wilson, who survives.
Julie graduated from Mississinewa in 1980 and co-owned both Marion Carpet Values and Tim's Pro Steamer. Her family was everything to her. She was the most selfless person all the way to the very end of her life. She served others before herself and truly exhibited the fruit of the Spirit as listed in Galatians 5. Julie loved the beach and was a collector of pennies, especially wheat pennies. And, oh, how she loved Christmas. It wasn't about the receiving but, rather, the giving that she loved so much. Julie was called "Juke Box Jules" by her family because she could name the song and the artist without fail. She was also a very organized person. Julie will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her.
In addition to her husband, Tim, survivors include her children, Corey (Andrea) Wilson of Gas City, Randi (Luke) Libby of Gas City, and Shawna Wilson of Greenwood; grandchildren, Conner (Gabi) Wilson, Avery Wilson, Bryson Libby, Owen Fields, and Briella Libby; siblings, Tonya Phillippe, Brian (Leslie) Linn, and Amy (John) Carper; stepmother, Faye Linn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kyle Jacob Wilson; and brother, Murray Linn.
The family will receive visitors from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church, 800 E. S. "C" St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Julie's life will begin at 6:00 pm with Pastor Barry Earley officiating.
