Kathleen Ann Seward, 77, known to many as “Cindy,” died on October 11, 2024 at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester. The daughter of Jean Ireland and Phyllis (Fulton) Neuenschwander, Cindy was born September 10, 1947 in Huntington, Indiana.
Cindy experienced an extensive fall at home that then required long term care at Peabody Nursing Home in the fall of September 2022. We are so pleased about the lovely care she received at Peabody Retirement Home.
During her adult life she was a Dental Assistant for over twenty-five years, including her time working for Dr. Croner and Dr. Myers. Cindy also specialized in assisting orthodontic patients as well. Cindy was known for being a sweet, fast paced, but efficient employee.
Cindy’s hobbies included gardening, planting red and white impatiens every spring, puzzles, and playing solitaire on the computer. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially the countless hours of chatting and laughing with her son and daughter. Cindy also relished her time with Ali and Emma enjoying countless sleepovers, which involved baking, playing board games and going on Gator rides. She was a beautiful mother, grandmother, sibling and friend to many.
Cindy’s living family members include her daughter, Sage (Mark) Casper and son, George Taylor Seward, both of North Manchester; grandkids, Derek (Jessica) Casper, Illinois, Danielle (Brandon) Hetzner, Roann, Ali (Carter) Frieden, North Manchester, and Emma (Hayes) Casper, Indianapolis; three brothers, Kelly, Mike and Mitch Ireland; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cindy is preceded in death by her dad, Jean Ireland, mom, Phyllis Neuenschwander, brother, Pat Ireland, and her beloved son, Tanner. She will be cremated per her request and buried at Oaklawn Cemetery next to her son, Tanner.
A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held at a later date.
