It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kathy Ozminkowski, who passed peacefully on March 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Peru, Indiana, in 1960 to John and Esther Kinsella, Kathy was a graduate of Peru High School, Class of 1979. A lifelong resident of Indiana, Kathy enjoyed spending the summer months maintaining her pristine gardens and flower beds. She had an extraordinary love for animals, and her compassionate heart led her to volunteer at local animal shelters. Kathy’s devotion to her own pets was unmatched and her commitment to ensuring they lived happy lives was truly heart-warming to witness.
Kathy was equally a dedicated supporter of her family at local sporting events. She was a loyal fan of any team her family was involved with and could always be found cheering at Little League games over the years.
Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Esther. She is survived by her father, John Kinsella; her sister, Linda (Mark) Childers; her sons, JD (Courtney) Ozminkowski and Aaron (Catherine) Ozminkowski; and the true loves of her life, her 3 cherished grandchildren Abel, Eli, and Malia Ozminkowski.
The legacy of Kathy’s kindness and love will be felt for generations. Her compassion and generous spirit were truly one of a kind, and her absence will be profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on March 14th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at McGrawsville Community Church, with services to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Lennoxs Legacy Rescue or the American Cancer Society in Kathy’s honor.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.FlowersLeedyAllen.com.
