Kenneth Leroy Donaldson

Kenneth Leroy Donaldson, 89, of rural Peru, Indiana, died at 11:05 am, Monday, October 14, 2024, at his home. He was born on December 21, 1934, in Miami County, Indiana, to T. Elmer and Hazel (Carlin) Donaldson.

Kenny was a 1952 graduate of Chippewa High School. He married Mary Bonewit on June 20, 1954 in Wabash, Indiana. He was a retired farmer, and also sold seed corn for Dekalb Seed Company and Callahan Seed Company 14 years. He also worked at General Tire and Brewer’s Dairy, both in Wabash. Kenny was a member of the Center Chapel First Brethren Church, and loved to farm.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Donaldson of Peru, four children; Pat (Dennis) Betzner of Wabash, K. Leroy (Bev Ramey) Donaldson, Sharon Craft, and Karen Donaldson, all of Peru, 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and brother, Larry “Doc” (Irene) Donaldson of Roann.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lela Zimmerman, four brothers, Elmer Leon Donaldson, Ed Donaldson, Norman “Bud” Donaldson, and Keith Donaldson, great-granddaughter, Chlore Donaldson, and great-grandson, Phoenix Donaldson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, October 18, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. David Lantz officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum, at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm, Friday at the funeral home.
