WABASH, IN- MSD of Wabash County has announced dates for their 2025 Kindergarten Round-ups. These are events for children who will be entering kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. Children who will be at least five years of age on August 1, 2025, are eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the upcoming school year.
MSD of Wabash County has open enrollment, which means children do not need to reside within the district to attend its schools. Southwood and Metro North gladly welcome students from outside the district boundaries and even offer busing through many parts of the city of Wabash.
“We’re excited for our next Kindergarten class to begin their educational journey at Southwood Elementary,” noted Principal Casey Stouffer. “This is a great adventure where curiosity will be sparked, new friendships will begin, and new discoveries will happen every day. Our teachers are ready to support each child as they grow, learn, and explore the world around them in a safe, nurturing environment. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things they’ll accomplish.”
Kindergarten Round-Up gives incoming kindergarteners and their guardians the chance to tour the school, meet teachers, have a readiness screening, and make sure they are all set for the upcoming school year. It is very important for an incoming kindergartener to attend Kindergarten Round-up.
● Southwood Elementary will host their Round-up on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Southwood Elementary School, 840 E State Road 124, Wabash, IN.
● Metro North Elementary will host their Round-up on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Metro North Elementary School, 3844 W 200 N, Wabash, IN.
Families may select their desired arrival time when they sign up for the event online.

Our kindergarten round-up is a chance for families to see firsthand how we foster a love of learning and help each child reach their full potential. We encourage parents to enroll their children at Metro North for a truly enriching and successful start in their educational journey.”
