Leslie L. Young, 68, of Gas City, passed away at 12:25 pm on Thursday, March 6, 2025. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Sunday, November 18, 1956, to Kenneth and Marjorie (Hiles) Barker. On September 6, 1975, she married Clinton Young who preceded her in death.
Leslie graduated from Mississinewa High School and worked at WalMart. She loved reading, enjoyed music and watching tennis. She loved playing Candy Crush, studying and researching.
Leslie is survived by son, Taylor Young of Huntington; daughter, Brittni Young; grandchildren, Kenzi, Cameron, Evan, and Madison; great-grandchildren, Holden and Weston; sister, Kenita J. Herrera; brother, David (Melanie) Barker; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth J. and Marjorie Barker; husband, Clinton Young; sister, Cyndi Helphenstine; and brother-in-law, John Herrera.
At Leslie’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
