Linda Gerstorff

Linda Gerstorff, 70, of Marion, Indiana, peacefully passed away on September 4, 2024, surrounded by her friends and caregivers, Randy Brown and Diane Dile, at her home in Jonesboro, Indiana. Born on November 15, 1953, to George and Ella Ruth (Travis) Marcum, she married the love of her life, Ralph E. Gerstorff, on November 5, 1988.

Along with her husband Ralph and son Brian, she was a devout and proud member of American Legion Post 95 in Jonesboro. For many years, she was president of the Post 95 Auxiliary and volunteered and donated many hours of her time to the Legion. Cherished by many, Linda was known for her strong will and kind heart. She loved traveling with her husband, bowling, playing pool, and especially enjoyed dancing, laughing, and spending time with her friends. She will be dearly missed by her close friends Diane, Randy, Karen, Heidi, Kathy, Matt, Tara, Steve, Cheri, Brittany, and Will. She is survived by her stepsons James, Jeremy, and Tim Gerstorff. Along with a granddaughter and a grandson, several grandchildren, one great grandson and several step great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her dog, Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Gerstorff, her son Brian Marcum, her very close friend Roscoe Varney, and her dog, Gonzie. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the VA Chapel, located on the main campus at 1700 E 38th St, Marion IN 46953, Wednesday October 23, 2024, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM with Reverend Darrell Smith officiating. Graveside services will follow at Marion National Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
