Little Adventures – kids summer day camp announced

WABASH, IN – Visit Wabash County officials announce a brand-new program.
Tickets for the Little Adventurers – Kids Summer Day Camp Trolley Tour are now on sale
online (www.visitwabashcounty.com) and in person (Welcome Center, 221 S Miami St,
Wabash).

The Little Adventurers program will be a weeklong camp, June 23rd to 27th, aboard
Trolley No.85 exploring Indiana’s rich agricultural heritage, farming, fishing, history, and
local culture. Trolley No.85 will pick up at the Welcome Center at 8:30 AM sharp every
morning and drop off at the Welcome Center at 12:30 PM. Join us for a week filled with
exploring Wabash County through hands-on activities, farm visits, and outdoor
adventures, connecting campers to the rural communities that shape Wabash County,
fostering curiosity, appreciation, and a love for the land. The week-long program is
limited to 25 kids and 5 adult chaperone tickets, with a ticket price of $100 per rider. The
age range is 6 to 12 years old. All adult volunteers and chaperones must pass a
background check.

Start the week off by meeting Jennifer, Stephanie, and Daisy at the Welcome Center,
home of Trolley No.85 in downtown Wabash. Monday morning, explore Indiana’s
wildlife in Somerset with fishing, hiking, tree identification, animal tracking, and bug
finding. On Tuesday, learn about working the farmland in LaFontaine with a tour of a
combine, grain bins, tractors, a museum, and finish out the day with grave rubbing at a
local cemetery. On Wednesday, learn the ways of water in Roann at Stockdale Mill,
with a tour of the mill, fish ladder, Roann Covered Bridge, and learn the importance of
antiques. On Thursday, spend the morning learning about animals in Wabash County in
North Manchester with a tour of Penrod’s farm, milking cows, and a visit to a
veterinarian clinic. Round out the week in Lagro with a tour of Kerr Lock, St. Patrick’s
Church, and a waterfall hike.
