Louise E. Webb, 96, of Marion, passed away peacefully at 10:09 am on Thursday, February 6, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born in Bluffton, Indiana, on April 26, 1928, to John and Jessie (Allen) Eby, Louise lived a full and vibrant life.
Louise graduated from Rockcreek High School and attended Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. She married Edson E. Webb on November 9, 1949, and together they owned Webb Furniture in Gas City. Louise was a dedicated homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion.
She had a passion for collecting dolls, reading, watching tennis, and wood carving. Louise was a past Ladies Champion at the Limber Lost Country Club and enjoyed playing the piano, cards, knitting, crocheting, and journaling. She was a recent spelling bee champion at Cedar Creek Assisted Living and a world traveler, having visited China, Italy, Germany, and Hawaii. Summers were often spent at an island lake house in Rome City, Indiana, with their special friends, the Stockwells.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Judith A. Sears of Somerset; sons, David R. (Janet) Webb and Timothy G. (Terri) Webb, both of Marion; step-son, E. Gene (Theresa) Webb of Pinellas Park, FL; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Velen Webb.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edson E. Webb; parents, John D. and Jessie Mae Eby; son, Robert A. Webb; and sister, Betty J. Miller.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Louise’s life will begin at 1:00 pm. Rev. Bob McHenry will be officiating with burial taking place at Estates of Serenity.
