Lynnwood Jackson, 64, of Marion, passed away at 2:24 am on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, August 9, 1960, to Henry and Mary (Wise) Jackson. He was married to DeLisa (Smith) Jackson, who survives.
Lynnwood graduated from Marion High School and worked at Wiley Metal Fabricating. He was a member of Wilson Lodge #12 (Masonic).
Lynnwood loved watching football, regardless of the team playing. He enjoyed cooking out and getting together with friends and family. He especially cherished his family, which can’t be said enough.
Survivors include his wife, DeLisa Jackson; daughters, Amber Jackson-Bowlds and Shaunta Hudson; bonus daughters, Ebony Davis, LaTesa Baity, Katina Speikes, and Ericka Fleece; granddaughters, Jaslyn, Ja’Kyla, and Alicia; grandsons, Odale, Jr., and Steffen; great-grandson, Ki’Eyre; sisters, Peggy (Milton) Clark, Brenda Dorsey, Kathy Jackson, and Susie (Dave) Colbert; brother, DeWayne (Lorraine) Jackson; and a host of family and friends, including his faithful companion, Buddy Tyrone Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Hope Danielle; bonus son, Odale, Sr.; and two brothers, Merrill and Richard.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Masonic rites will begin at 12:30 pm immediately followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Pastor Larry Batchelor will be officiating.
