Marianne E. Beck, 71, Marion, passed away at 10:25 am on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center in Marion. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, November 20, 1953, to Frank and Norma (Mills) Holland, who, along with her brother, lived in Marion.
Marianne lived in Marion all her life and graduated from Marion High School in 1972. She married William E. Beck on May 21, 1983. She had been a member of First Christian Church for about 60 years, where she sang in the choir, led the AIM group for older members, and was in the Christian Women’s group. She also helped lead Sunday school.
Marianne worked for the local newspaper, Emily Flinn Nursing Home, and the Marion Senior Center. She enjoyed many family vacations, and she greatly enjoyed seeing lighthouses, which she had a miniature collection. She also enjoyed her four dogs she had for over a period of 25 years.

Survivors include her husband, William E. Beck of Marion, and her niece, Karen Howell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Duane Holland.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at First Christian Church, 1970 N. Wabash Rd., Marion, IN.
On Friday, February 21, 2025, visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by Marianne’s service at 11:00 am at First Christian Church. Rev. Haley Asberry will be officiating with burial at Estates of Serenity.
