Mark R. Reece, 73, Marion, passed away at 5:29 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Marion Health. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Wednesday, April 11, 1951, to Richard and Norma (Smith) Reece. On July 20, 1969, he married Charlotte I. Hunt, who preceded him.
Mark graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1969. He had owned Reece Concrete and Masonry Construction for over 50 years. He was an excellent craftsman. He was great outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting big game, fishing, and wood working with furniture. He was a wonderful grandfather and story-teller.
Survivors include his son, Bob (Ann) Reece of Marion; daughter, Deana (Eric) Wright of Fairmount; fiancée, Dani Dixon; sister, Tammy (Martin Leffler) Reece of Gas City; brother, Ron (Linda) Reece of Story, WY; grandsons, Blake Wright, Sean Reece; granddaughter, Reagan Franklin; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Jim Reece.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Mark’s life will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor John Key officiating. Burial will take place at Paw Paw Cemetery in Denver, IN.
