Marleen Sue Long

Marleen Sue Long, 81, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Wesleyan Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Marion. A lifelong resident of Marion, Marleen was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, April 29, 1943, to Howard and Lola Walters.

Marleen was a waitress for many years with J&L Breakfast and Steakhouse.  She was a dedicated homemaker, who cherished taking care of her family.  Her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marleen also had a passion for playing Bingo, which brought her much happiness.

Marleen is survived by her son, Terry Dunn; grandchildren, Kenneth (Amanda) Spencer, Shannon (Jason) Brown, TJ Meeks-Johnson, and Heather Meeks-Johnson; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Mark, Madisynn, Ashlynn, Payslee, Emree, Liam, Allen, Austin, Victor, Vivian, and Violet; and former husband, Jim Long.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jimmy Dunn; as well as brothers and sisters.

The family will host a celebration of Marleen’s life at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
