Mary Ann Lawson, 72, Marion, passed away at 12:35 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Sunday, November 9, 1952, to James and Nancy (Smith) Traylor.
Mary Ann graduated from Marion High School in 1971 and was a home healthcare caregiver. She had helped many people throughout her lifetime. Mary Ann loved spending time with her children and family, going to the lakes, and she cherished her pets. She was a member of Gethsemane Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her son, Tom (Lori) Lawson of Marion; granddaughter, Jaycee (Gator) Emery of Marion; brother, Tom (Stephanie) Traylor of Syracuse; sister, Sally (David) Biddinger of Syracuse; nieces, Lindsey (Chris) Barnhill, Jennifer (Todd) Oswalt, and Valerie (Matt) Carrol; her cats, Kitty Kat and Itsy; and several friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her twins, Ryan James and Sarah Elizabeth.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Gethsemane Episcopal Church, 111 E. 9th St., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a memorial service to celebrate Mary Ann’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Mother Mindy Brown Hancock officiating.
