Mary Jane Morris "Janie", 95, Marion, passed away at 3:47 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Cedar Creek of Marion. She was born in Miami County, Indiana, on Friday, March 8, 1929, to Joseph and Opal (Fowler) Jackson. On July 7, 1951, she married the love of her life, Dale H. Morris.
Janie attended Urbana High School in Miami County and worked at RCA. She was a member of Temple Congregational Church, and was active with Phi Delta Kappa and at the Senior Center.
Survivors include her nieces, Candy Le Oso, Susan (Troy) Eikenberry, Teri Jackson; nephew, Jerry (Edie) Yentes; friends, Don (Charlene) Bruns, Fallis Deen (Betty) Esarey, and Sheri Day.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale H. Morris; parents, Joseph and Opal Jackson; sister, Edna L. Yentes; brothers, George Jackson and Roscoe Jackson; nephews, Rick Jackson, Mike Jackson; and friend, Donald H. Day.
A graveside service to celebrate Janie's life will begin at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 6, 2024 with Pastor Jeffrey Jahn officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory - Marion.
