Mary Maxine Eib, 84, of LaFontaine, passed away at 11:04 am on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Rolling Meadows Health & Rehabilitation Center in LaFontaine. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, April 25, 1940, to Charles and Ruth (Donaldson) Marks.
Mary graduated from Marion High School in 1958. She received her LPN license and worked several years with Marion General Hospital, as well as several nursing homes.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Perez of TX and Jane Shields of Marion; grandchildren, Russell Perez, Virginia Perez, Philip “Blake” (Melanie) Shields, and Lauren “Nicci” Potter; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Connor, and Nova; brother, Charles Marks, Jr.; sister, Gwen “Punk” (Jim) Phelps; plus several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Marks, Sr., and mother, Ruth Marks.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Mary’s life will begin at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
