Maudie M Cruea, 86, Marion, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Marion Health. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Sunday, April 3, 1938, to James and Nellie (Burns) Sluder. On May 8, 1959, she married William "Bill" R. Cruea, who preceded her in death.
Maudie graduated from Marion HS in 1956 was a banker at Bank One for over 20 years. She was a long-time member of Westside Assembly of God and was most recently a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God. She served as a Sunday school teacher and loved singing in the church choir and singing solos. She relished time with her family. She loved God, her husband, and her three sons so very much.
Survivors include her sons, Jim (Allison) Cruea of Carmel, Tim Cruea of Marion; granddaughters, Brittani (Ryan) Horner of Kokomo, Taylour (Tyler) Needler of Westfield, Brooke (Paul) Beverly of Kokomo; grandson, Korbin (Christina) Cruea of Westfield; great-granddaughters, Rya J., Ellie, Addie, Sadie, Ava; great-grandsons, Gatlen and baby boy Cruea on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Nellie Sluder; husband, Bill Cruea, Sr.; and son, William R Cruea, II.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Lighthouse Assembly of God, 5909 S. Jay St., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a Funeral Service to celebrate Maudie's life will begin at 12:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Gallaway officiating. Burial will take place at Estates of Serenity.
