Melinda Ann (Adams) Nead, 49, of Peru passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. She was taken away suddenly by a very aggressive cancer.
She was born on March 27, 1975 during a snowstorm at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru, Indiana. She is survived by her two wonderful sons Rhett L. & Jarrod S. and the father of her children, Ryan (Shelly). Her father Michael L. Adams is deceased.
Also, surviving is her mother, Patricia Russell and her dad, John. Her aunt LeeAnn Bates and sons. Her sisters, Jennifer K. Adams, Heather M. Baldwin, Amy R. Russell, Amanda C. Pearcy, and Jessica A. Miller. Her brother, Michael L. Adams (Melibeth). She has many nephews and nieces that love her and a great nephew and a great niece that will miss her so much.
Melinda never knew a stranger, she loved everyone especially all the grandma’s and grandpa’s. She loved to dance. She was a ballerina from the age of 5 until she graduated high school. Every now and then you would see her point her toes and twirl away with a big smile on her face and a glint in her eyes. She loved gardening and canning with her best friend, Liz. She loved to crochet and make gifts for us. But most of all she loved her boys with all her heart. She loved her family and friends. If you knew her you loved her. She will be missed so very much.
Visitation will be at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana, on February 11, 2025 from 11am to 1pm. Funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Josiah Black officiating. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Cemetery in Logansport, Indiana.
