Milton E. Case

Milton E. Case, 85, went to his Heavenly home on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

He was born in Logansport, Indiana to the late David Milton and Violet Mae (Brooks) Case on January 9, 1939. Milton married Winnie R. Duke on March 26, 1960 and she survives.

Milton retired from General Motors as a skilled trades worker. He was a member of the UAW Local #977 in Marion and the First Assembly of God Church in Peru. He proudly served his country in the National Guard. Milton loved old cars and enjoyed attending the James Dean festival. He even owned a restored 1951 Pontiac and would showcase it at any given opportunity. He was a skilled woodworker and could make anything from bird houses to custom furniture. Milton found joy in the simple things in life like listening to old, classic country music and people watching on the porch swing. He could be described as the definition of a true gentleman-easy going and kind.

In addition to his wife, Milton is survived by his children; Michael Steven (Gloria) Case of Kingman, Arizona, Joseph Brian (Leah) Case of Peru, Indiana, one granddaughter, Sarah Danielle (Curtis) Crabtree, one great granddaughter, Lorelai Ann Renee Crabtree, and sisters, Lena Anita (John) Whetsel of Peru and Sharon Kay (Gary) Mays of Peru.

Milton is preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Sheila Renee Case, and siblings; Herman Eugene Case, John Frances Case, and Mary Ellen Shanabarger.

Visitation will be held from 12pm to 2pm on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru. The funeral service will follow at 2pm with Pastor Rod Correll officiating. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
