Nancy S. West, 76, Warren, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on March 14, 1948, to Robert Abernathy and Mary (Blake) Engle.
Nancy attended Marion Community Schools and was a member of the Sympathy Club. She was passionate about the six Harleys she owned and loved riding them with Joe. Nancy was a loving, caring woman and, more than anything, loved being a mother to her son, Jeff. She loved her friends, especially talking on the telephone.
Survivors include her companion, Joe Abernathy; Justin Yohe, the loving companion of Jeff Wardwell, who passed away on December 22, 2022; friend, Amber Miller; and several friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Nancy’s life will begin at 12:00 noon. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
