Nancy Sue Lowe

Nancy Sue Lowe, age 82, entered heaven on February 16, 2025 at home in the presence of her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Nancy was born on October 1, 1942 in Marion, IN to Charles William Goodacre and Mildred Maxine (Mellendorf) Goodacre.

She graduated in August 1960 from Swayzee High School and then went on to attend Porter Business College to study under the Speedwriting Executive Secretarial Program from August 1960 to March 1961 in Indianapolis.

She married the love of her life, Carl Daniel Lowe, on January 12,1964 in Marion, IN.

Nancy worked at First Federal Savings and Loan. She later worked as a secretary in the tool and die department at RCA. In 1974, she and her husband started their own business, Lowe Automotive, Inc. in Marion. As co-owner, she managed the finances for the company.

She enjoyed playing the piano in her home and singing at church. She also enjoyed watching romantic comedies, shopping with her daughters, and spending time with her husband of over 61 years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and being a grandmother.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Carl Lowe; children, Susan (Joseph) Gall of Upland, Cindy (Parker) Walker of Marion, Julie (John) Neargardner of Marion, and Keith (Joanna) Lowe of Fishers, IN. Her 16 grandchildren include, Elizabeth Runyan, Christen Gall, Britney Wallbaum, Ashton Flegge, Grant Gall, Heather Gall, Braden Walker, Derrick Walker, Corinne Walker, Morgan Walker, Emma Neargardner, Ian Neargardner, Elaina Neargardner, Evelyn Lowe, Julia Lowe, and Sylvia Lowe. She was a great-grandmother of 10. She is also survived by her stepmother, Mary Goodacre of Gas City, IN.

Nancy became a follower of Jesus at a young age.  She was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church for many years. In later life, she attended Liberty Baptist Church with her family.

A viewing will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 11:00 a.m-2:00 p.m. at Needham Storey Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main Street Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Nancy’s life will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Aaron McCauley officiating. There will be a private burial following the funeral at the Grant Memorial Park in Marion.
