Norma Jean Horsman (Glover), aged 84, departed this life on November 12, 2024, in Noblesville, Indiana. Born on September 2, 1940, she embraced a life characterized by intellectual curiosity, love of family, and a nurturing warmth that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Norma took great pride in her many years as Manager at Richard’s Restaurant in Marion, where she not only served meals but also offered support and compassion to both staff and patrons alike, ensuring that the restaurant was more than a place to dine–it was a place where everyone felt at home.
In her personal time, Norma was an avid reader. She enjoyed gardening and listened to an eclectic variety of music. She was a great lover of nature, with a special love for birds.
Leaving behind a loving family, Norma is survived by her devoted children, Sam Horsman (Bonnie Webster), Tracy Landis (David), Jeffrey Horsman (Linda), Victoria (Michael Leide) Horsman, and Tim Silvernail; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Sandy Kelly, Randy Glover, Richard Glover, and J.R. Glover; and sister-in-law, Marjorie Coan.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Edward Horsman, Jr.; parents, James and Margaret Glover; mother-in-law, Mae Horsman; and her sister, Verna Smith.
The family will be receiving visitors for Norma’s viewing on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Funeral services for Norma will take place at North Chapel at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, with an additional hour of visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Norma’s son, Dr. Reverend Jeffrey Horsman, will be officiating.
In honor of Norma’s passion for nature, contributions may be made to the National Wildlife Foundation in her memory.
