Norma Jean (Toni) Mallison

Norma Jean (Toni) Mallison, 94, of Marion, IN was born on September 26, 1929 to the late Edward and Addie Spargo of Greenville, PA, and went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents; her eldest brother Charles Spargo; sister, Mae E. Spargo; first husband William D. Mangold; daughters Renee J. Mangold and Michele L. Mallison; and son Larry Mangold. She is survived by her husband Robert G. Mallison, Jr.; brother, Dave (Joan) Spargo; sister, Shirley Ashmore; son, Doarn (Erin) Mangold; grandchildren, Robert G. Mallison III, Tasha J. (Frank) Simon, Lindsay M. (Joseph) Leck, Lauren M. (Alex) Shen, Lycia M. (Josh) Taylor, Cory W. Mangold, Zachary D. Mangold, Tawnee M. Mangold, Noah H. (Lilly) Mangold, and Bella R. Mangold; and great grandchildren Greenlee, Liberty, JJ T., Lincoln, Hudson, Mason, Oliver, Maggie, Compa, Stacia, Ben, and Freya. She was a much-loved member of Back Creek Wesleyan Church and a fervent prayer warrior. She was an avid reader of Christian literature throughout her life, and in recent years she enjoyed listening to audiobooks in the same genre. She took joy in many forms of Gospel music including singing and playing the piano herself, and enjoying music performed by others (especially those in her family and the Gaithers). She was fond of gardening, and she delighted in inventing interesting culinary creations for her family and friends to sample. She enjoyed visiting family in Pennsylvania and taking small trips to Shipshewana. She was tickled by teasing people and had a contagious laugh. One of her favorite pastimes was reminiscing about her happy childhood, sharing numerous stories about her parents and siblings. She was happiest and most content when worshipping God and spending time with the people she loved. She is now in the arms of Jesus and reunited with the loved ones who have gone before her, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends who wait to join her. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN. Immediately following the time of visitation, a funeral service to celebrate the life of Norma will be held at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ben Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
