WABASH, IN- Downtown Wabash, Inc. is excited to announce the return of its October First Friday event with a spellbinding twist. On Friday, October 4, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, downtown Wabash will be transformed into “Wizardly Wabash,” a Harry Potter-themed celebration for fans of all ages. Join us for an evening filled with magic, fun, and community as we bring the wizarding world to life right here in downtown Wabash. Highlights of the event include Harry Potter-themed specials at local businesses, magical vendor booths, and butterbeer specials. One of the main attractions of the evening will be a live performance by the Wabash High School Orchestra, serenading the crowd with iconic music from the Harry Potter film series. The performance will take place on Miami Street, where you will also find community vendors with free family-friendly activities. Visitors can also participate in a Harry Potter-themed Stamping Map. Wander through downtown shops and collect stamps to complete the map. Completed maps may be turned into any participating business for the chance to win a magical prize. This October First Friday also marks the final Food Truck Plaza of the year. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy delicious eats from some of the region’s best food trucks conveniently located at Veterans Plaza. This month’s plaza includes Amazn Azn, Nick’s Dog Cart, Fairfax Coffee Co., The Franklin Mobile Bar, Carol Sue’s BBQ, JB’s Cuisine Machine, Emmett’s Paddy Wagon and The Beverage Buggy. Sammy D the UkuLady will also make her return to Veterans Plaza. To ensure safe transportation and easy access to additional event parking, Trolley No.85 will run a free route with various stops throughout Downtown Wabash. “We’re thrilled to bring the magic of Harry Potter to downtown Wabash for October’s First Friday!
