Pamela A. Combs, 77, Marion, passed away at 4:10 am on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Miller's Merry Manor in Marion. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Saturday, November 9, 1946, to Willis "Ralph" and Marjorie (Hills) Kraus. She was married to Edgile Combs, who preceded her in death on May 5, 2007. Pamela worked in Quality Control for 20 years with Foster-Forbes.
Pamela's family was her life, and she was always willing to spend time with them. She was always making family meals, planning parties, having cookouts and get-togethers, and "spaghetti on the table" was a yearly tradition in March. She was notorious for having expired food in her home. She loved watching any sport her grandkids played, especially softball and baseball, as well as just sitting on the back porch watching them play. For Pamela, Christmas started on November 1st. It was very special, and all gifts were fulfilled.
Pamela loved telling stories, rummage sales, planting flowers, crafting, playing games and cards, making list after to-do list for herself and others, watching her TV shows, and watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. She also loved oldies music, especially Elvis. Just being with people and going on drives with her granddaughter brought great joy and happiness to her. Her family will miss her very much and will have the wonderful memories that she endlessly worked to create.
Survivors include her son, Vince Combs of Gas City; daughter, Janell Sharp of Marion; sister, Darlene (Dick) Cain of Hartford City; sister-in-law, Cathy Kraus of Marion; granddaughters, Kyndra Combs, Sarah (Trystan) Kirkpatrick, Jenna Combs, and Stephanie Huff; grandsons, Cade Sharp and Keaton Sharp; great-granddaughter, Catelynn Kirkpatrick; great-grandson, Theodore Kirkpatrick; and her dog, Elvis.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gregory Kraus; daughter-in-law, Kelly Combs; and son-in-law, Brian J. Sharp.
