Patricia Ann (Erwin) Pier

Patricia Ann (Erwin) Pier, 90, of Peru/Kokomo, passed away on Tuesday November 19th, 2024 at Wellbrooke of Kokomo. She was born on July 5th, 1934 in Newton, IL to William and Ida (Fear) Erwin. She married Roy H. Pier on November 2nd, 1952, he preceded her in death in 2005.

Pat was a Homemaker, Sunday School Teacher, and Mother to 6. She loved Jesus and family with all her being, and was not ashamed to share with anyone about Jesus love and salvation. She was known as a prayer warrior, and prayed for many in her assisted living environment. She enjoyed flowers, birds, games, and cooking and could always find a unique use for any little item. She raised her family in rural Peru in the home she and Roy built from the ground up, and she resided there for 60+ years. After Roy’s retirement they wintered in Florida for 25 years.

She was a Mother to 6, Grandma to 18, and Grandma Great to 34, plus 1 Great,Great Granddaughter, and she was loved by all. Surviving are her 6 children, Patti Grube, Rochester; Allen (Jeannie) Pier, Florida; Dale (Dara) Pier, Bunker Hill; Mark (Carol) Pier, Peru; Connie (Brian) Mottram, Indy; and Randy (Donnie) Pier, Kokomo. Also surviving is Brother In Law, Kenny Bristow, and many nieces and nephews.  She had 5 siblings that all preceded her in death and all had resided in Illinois: Doretta Erwin, William (Ruth) Erwin, Richard (Rusty) Erwin, Robert (Jane) Erwin, and Ida (Kenny) Bristow.

Services will be held Saturday, November 23rd at the Allen Funeral Home at 136 S Elm St, Bunker Hill, IN 46914. Viewing is from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with the funeral service starting at Noon. Burial will be at the Salem Cemetary, Peru, IN.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Pat’s home church, Miami Fellowship of Praise, 1820 Walnut St, Miami, IN 46959.
