Patricia “Patty” A. Wilson

Patricia “Patty” A. Wilson, 77, of Fowlerton, passed away peacefully at 7:57 am on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Marion Health-East in Gas City. Born in Owensville, Kentucky, on November 29, 1947, to Jake and Pansy (Gibson) Adams, Patty was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend.  She was married to Richard Allen Wilson, who preceded her in death.

Patty graduated from Marion High School and dedicated many years to Marion Health as an Environmental Specialist. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly camping and fishing at the Salamonie. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, whom she cherished deeply. Known for her positive outlook, Patty always sought the bright side of life and made the best of every situation. She also had a passion for cooking and canning, sharing her culinary delights with loved ones.

Patty is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Brian) Reneau of Fairmount; her son, Patrick “Skip” (Jodie Hummel) Wilson of Marion; her significant other, Andy Sorrell of Fowlerton; her grandchildren, Madison (Wes) and Josh (Shelby); and her great-grandchildren, Lucy, Waylon, and Evelynn. She is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Pansy Adams, and her brothers, Tony Dollar and Chet Dollar.

Patty’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Patty’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating.  Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
