Register to vote by October 10th

IN- It’s National Register to Vote Month and Hoosiers have until Oct. 10 to register or update their registration before November’s municipal elections.

To register, visit IndianaVoters.com and click the “Register To Vote” tab, or register in person at your county clerk’s office. Already registered? You can check or update your voter registration status, find your nearest voting location and see who’s on your ballot while on the state’s website. 

To be eligible to vote in Indiana, you must:

• Have a valid Indiana driver’s license or Indiana state identification card;
• Be a citizen of the United States;
• Be at least 18 years old on or before the upcoming election;
• Have lived in your precinct for at least 30 days before the next election; and
• Not be currently imprisoned after being convicted of a crime. For information on absentee ballot request deadlines and early vote options, click here.

The voter registration deadline is Oct. 10. Early in-person voting starts Oct. 11. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 7, and polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
