Renee Marie Molner, 46, of Indianapolis, passed away at 11:30 am on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in her home. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Monday, February 6, 1978, to Larry and Donna (Bugay) Molner.
Renee had moved to Marion when she was 5 years old. She was a skilled athlete and had competed in gymnastics and swimming. Her athletics continued into adulthood, and she liked to run marathons and half marathons. She also enjoyed art and was good at painting, drawing and ceramics. Renee graduated from Marion High School in 1996. She received her bachelors degree from Ball State University in 2001. Renee had a deep love of animals and cherished the dogs and cats that she had owned over the years. She also visited the Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, New York, often. She liked working for non-profit organizations including United Way and Clothes For A Cause. More than anything, Renee was a giving woman with a kind heart and she will be missed dearly.
Survivors include her mother, Donna Molner of Marion; uncle, Steve (Late Stella) Bugay; aunt, Donata (Charles) Rahne; uncle, Robert (Beverly) Molner; aunt, Rita (Late John) Hall; several cousins; special friends, Marisol Hernandez, Michael Smith, Terry Brown, and Daryl Carter; and many more friends she had made over the years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Molner.
The family will receive visitors from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, June 3, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 W. Kem Rd., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a Funeral Mass to celebrate Renee's life will begin at 11:00 am with Father Hilary Okeke officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion.
