Rhonda L. Kirby, 71, Hartford City, passed away at 9:40 am on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Envive Nursing Home in Hartford City. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, September 17, 1953, to John and Vada (Byers) Horn. On September 12, 1971, she married Charles Kirby, and he survives.
Rhonda graduated from Eastbrook High School and worked at RCA for 27 years. She enjoyed working in the yard, shopping and going to car shows. She had a special love for her dogs, Sig, Quincy, Queeny.
Along with her husband, Rhonda leaves to cherish her memory, her son, John (Lori) Kirby; daughter, Bre (Bradley Bockmon) Kirby; granddaughters, McKinzie Kirby, Charleigh Kirby; great-grandson, Zaydyn Kirby; sisters, Barbara Alleman, Jonni King; as well as half-brother, Jim Bowman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John H. and Vada Horn; brothers-in-law, Carl Alleman, David King; and half-brother, Larry Bowman.
The family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Rhonda’s life will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel. Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating with burial to follow at Marion National Cemetery.
