Robert “Bobby” Guerre, Jr.

Robert "Bobby" Guerre, Jr., 79, of Kokomo, passed away at 7:21 am on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Bloom (Kokomo).

Bobby was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on Saturday, March 17, 1945, to Robert and Phyllis (Preston) Guerre, Sr.  He attended Kokomo High School and, on November 20, 1965, married his loving wife, Joyce Scott.  Bobby enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.  Following his honorable discharge from the military, Bobby worked at General Motors in Kokomo, where he was a pipe fitter.  He retired after approximately 30 years of service.  He was a member of St. Patrick's-Kokomo, UAW 292, American Legion Kokomo Post 6, and Knights of Columbus.

Bobby was a master craftsman and could build anything out of anything.  Landscaping was also one of his gifts, and he could bring so much beauty to the areas he worked on. If you met Bobby, you wouldn't forget him. Family was everything to him.  He adored his wife, and he dearly loved his daughters and grandchildren.  He also loved his dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Guerre of Kokomo; daughters, Ashley (Joe) Santos of Noblesville and Libby (Tim) Douglas of Kokomo; grandson, Sam of Chicago, IL; granddaughters, Abbey of Noblesville and Maddie of Kokomo; sisters, Sandy of Kokomo and JoAnn of OH; sister-in-law, Debbie of Kokomo; brother-in-law, Larry of Kokomo; and special lifelong friend, Roger Garrett.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Patty and Janet; and sister-in-law, Kay.

A Celebration of Life service will take place from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at American Legion Kokomo Post 6, 2604 S. Lafountain St., Kokomo, IN 46902.  Family, friends, and the public are welcome to come and remember Bobby.
