Robert Bryan Rea, a beloved husband, dedicated professional and cherished friend, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, in Jasper, Michigan at the age of 49. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on April 29, 1975, to Phyllis (Galligan) Dyer. He married Michell Beekman, on July 11, 2009.
Robert graduated from Madison Grant High School in 1993. He spent his career as a skilled dry-waller and painter, working with Circle B Construction and Rosema Corporation. Alongside his wife, he proudly owned and operated The Head Company 710. His talents extended to land surveying, showcasing his versatility and dedication to his work.
Robert had a zest for life and a wide array of interests. He enjoyed playing pool, video and computer games, cooking, gardening, music, and golf. A true sports enthusiast, he loved all forms of athletic competition. He also cherished taking trips, staying active, and keeping busy.
Known for his heart of gold, Robert was a hero to many. He poured his whole heart into everything he did, always striving to excel and provide for his family. His sense of humor and love for a good time made him a joy to be around. Family was everything to Robert, and he adored his dogs, considering them an integral part of his family.
Robert’s legacy of love, dedication, and joy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his wife Michell, his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Survivors include his wife, Michell Rea; daughter, Alexis Rea; mother of his children, Sarah Deloizer; granddaughter, Cali Harris; mother, Phyllis Dyer; sisters, Heather Rea, Alexandria Dyer, and Misty Dyer; nieces and nephews, Kirstie Rea, Brianna Rea, Vincent Rea, Quentin Sparks, Lacie Southwick, Barbara Dean, Christopher Fansler, Samantha Yeakle, and Nathan Fansler; several great-nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Amber Beekman and Emma (Robert) Boles; bestfriend/brother, Doug Revis; his dogs, Savannah, Mary Jane, and Diablo; and several friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bryce Rea; brother, Robert Murphy; grandfather, Phillip K. Galligan; his father and mother-in-law, Therese Vian and Roger Beekman; friend, Bradly Brown; and dogs, Princess Mya and Katie.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Robert's life will begin at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
