Sandra Moffatt

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Moffatt, who left this earth on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the age of 77 to reunite with her son Scott, husband Ronald, and parents Marietta and Russell. “Sandy” was a cherished mother, aunt, and grandmother known for her kindness, unwavering love, and positive spirit.

Born on November 29, 1947, in Peru, Indiana, Sandy lived a life full of love, purpose, and dedication as a homemaker. Later in life, she moved to Fort Wayne to Kingston Care Center where she passed peacefully. She was a person of remarkable character, always putting others before herself, offering support and encouragement in times of need. Her generosity, warmth, and sense of humor made her a cherished friend and family member. She brought joy and light to every room, and her legacy of love and care will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Sandy is survived by her daughter Shelly (Bill) Martin, two grandchildren Alexandria (William) Maloney and Thomas (Alana) Hayes, great granddaughter Elliana Hayes, brother Jay (Bonnie) Barnhart, and many nieces and nephews. Sandy will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held from 12pm to 2pm on Friday, December 13 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. The family requests that flowers be sent to Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home to honor her love for nature and beauty.

Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Sandy. You will be greatly missed.
