Susan “Susie” I. Theurer

Susan “Susie” I. Theurer, 67, Marion, passed away at 8:39 am on Friday, February 14, 2025, in her home. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Sunday, January 19, 1958, to Clarence and Mildred (Couch) Wagoner.  On August 12,1978, she married Tony Theurer, and he survives.

 

Susie graduated from Marion High School in 1976. She worked 19 years as a housekeeper and started a company called “Specialists in Shine.”  Susie was a long-time member of Center Chapel Church in Marion, where she actively participated in children’s church and Loving Touch Ministries, a ministry dedicated to sending cards to people.

She had a passion for cake decorating and baking desserts, including chocolate chip cookies, cakes, brownies, and peanut butter pie. Susie also loved traveling, especially to places like the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN; Siesta Keys, FL; Beaver Dam Lake in Claypool, IN; and Shipshewana, IN. She loved her grandkids so much and was very present in their lives and all their activities.

Survivors include her husband, Tony Theurer of Marion; children, Brady Theurer of FL, Brittney (Chris) Sheward of Huntington, and Jeremiah (Kim) Theurer of Marion; grandchildren, Gabriella (Montana)Wadding, Blake Sheward, Kirah Sheward, and Kaleena Theurer; great-grandchildren, Ophelia Wadding and Odin Wadding; brothers, Ronnie Wagoner of Warren and Terry (Gwen) Wagoner of Anderson; and brother-in-law, Lee Sanders of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mildred Wagoner; sister, Judi Sanders; and niece, Heather Wagoner.

The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Susie’s life will begin at 6:00 pm with Pastor Mark Sanders officiating.
