Tonia S. Teegarden, 67, of Gas City, passed away at 1:55 am on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Marion Health East in Gas City. She was born in Peru, Indiana, on Sunday, May 5, 1957, to Norman and Joan (Barton) Cruea. She married Richard Teegarden who survives.
Tonia liked to crochet, solve crossword puzzles, and read. She enjoyed Jeopardy and watching racing and football. More than anything, Tonia loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her loving husband and companion of 50 years, Richard, survivors include her son, Michael (Amanda) Cruea of Amboy; daughter, Krista (David) Hubbard of Gas City; grandchildren, Nicolas, Jacson, Samantha, and Kalyn; sister, Carol Slagle; plus, several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Cruea; mother, Joan Cruea; and sisters, Kay Ann Blazer and Rita Cruea-Armes.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral and Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN 46933.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a Funeral Service to celebrate Tonia’s life will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
