Tonya L. Simpkins, 62, of Jasper, passed away at 12:18 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital in Henderson, Kentucky. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, January 18, 1962, to Danny and Carol (Snyder) Simpkins.
Tonya graduated from Adams Central High School and was a nurse throughout her career. She enjoyed sewing, especially making quilts, and was also an avid reader.
Survivors include her daughter, Jessica A. Birkle of Jasper; granddaughter, Hallie Carper; and grandson, Brayden Birkle.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Vincent Simpkins.
A graveside service for Tonya will take place at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Grant Memorial Park, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN.
