Traffic Stop Leads to Multiple Arrests

GRANT COUNTY, IN- A routine traffic stop conducted by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office on November 30, 2024, resulted in the arrest of a felony suspect and the seizure of illegal narcotics.
A Deputy initiated the traffic stop after observing a black Ford passenger vehicle swerving on State Road 9 near County Road 650 South. The driver, Cindi Divens, was discovered to have an active felony warrant out of Ohio for Trafficking in Fentanyl, a Level 1 Felony. She was arrested, and further investigation led deputies to her residence in Fairmount, Indiana, where they obtained a search warrant for 9060 South East 00 West, Trailer 15, Fairmount, Indiana.
Upon executing the warrant, officers located items consistent with drug activity along with two individuals, Jeremy Wilcox and Robert Orme, who were detained at the scene.
As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested and taken to the Grant County Jail:
Cindi Divens, 42:
Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 Felony)
Possession of Legend Drugs (three counts, Level 6 Felony)
Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony)
Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts, Class A Misdemeanor)
Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor)
Fugitive of Justice for her Ohio warrant
Jeremy Wilcox, 39:
Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony)
Mr. Wilcox is also currently on probation for Intimidation under cause number 27D03-2107-F6-000502 and for OWI under cause number 48H02-2403-CM-001108. He also has a pending charge of Possession of a Narcotic Drug under cause number 27D03-2409-F6-000679.
Robert Orme, 38:
Visiting a Common Nuisance (Class B Misdemeanor)
“This case highlights the importance of vigilance during traffic stops and the thorough investigative work that followed,” said Sheriff Del Garcia. “Through the dedication of our deputies, we were able to take multiple suspects into custody and address ongoing criminal activity that impacts the safety of our community.”
All suspects are still in custody at this time at the Grant County Jail.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
