United Way of Miami County’s 2023 Campaign enters final weeks

MIAMI COUNTY, IN- Only three weeks remain in this year’s fundraising campaign. United Way of Miami County’s 2023 Campaign enters its final weeks nearly $11,000 short of its $170,000 goal. The United Way is 93.5% ($158,967) of this year’s goal. United Way officials said agencies and allocations would be cut if their goal wasn’t reached.

They focus on bonding people and resources together to build a stronger and healthier community. The community’s needs are significant, and there is no one person and no one agency that can do it alone. United Way funds eight local programs and three initiatives for our community needs. Their programs help people from all walks of life, from our children to our elderly community, while collaborating with community members to work towards solutions.

It’s not too late to impact someone’s life today; remember that it’s better to give than to receive. The reality is that government dollars have reduced human and social programs by up to 30%. United Way is the second largest human and social service funded by the community. Those percentages are your neighbors in the cities of Miami County.

The mission of the United Way is the same — making communities stronger and better places to live and to work — and the many partnering agencies that rely on United Way’s vital funding are the same. Only the need has grown.
