Vicki L. Gustin

Vicki L. Gustin, 76, of Peru passed away on Monday, November 4th, 2024 at home in her sleep surrounded by family.

She was born December 17, 1947, in Peru, Indiana to Forest R. Gustin and Virginia L. (Miller) Gustin.

She worked for Delco as a secretary for 32 years.

She loved the beach, cryptograms, sitting on her porch reading, watching planes and helicopters fly by, her time participating in the circus, and clowning with friends. She was a devoted mother. She was obsessed with her granddaughter. She loved to dance with her, watch the Rockettes on TV, and to eat Josey’s homemade chocolate pie/trifle on the holidays.

She is survived by her son, Ethan Noel Gustin (Sara), Peru, granddaughter, Josephine Yvonnilyn Gustin, Peru, brother, Mark D. Gustin, Kokomo, and several cousins.

Vicki is preceded in death by her father, Forest R. Gustin, mother, Virginia L. (Miller) Gustin, brother, Craig Gustin, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A mass service will be held at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 58 West Fifth Street, Peru on Saturday, November 16, 2024 beginning at 11am with Father Adam Mauman officiating. Following mass, there will be a luncheon and gathering to celebrate Vicki’s life in the church gymnasium until 1:30pm. In the spring, Vicki will be laid to rest via a tree pod to become one with the Earth. Over time, the tree will be nourished, creating a living and growing tribute to her beautiful life and legacy.
