WABASH, IN - Visit Wabash County is pleased to announce that the updated gateway billboards on the north and south sides of the City of Wabash have been installed along US Highway 15 and 24.
The gateway billboard project is a partnership with the City of Wabash and Visit Wabash County as a welcome to visitors and residents alike.
“It's amazing to have a partnership with Visit Wabash County that can help with the visual aspects of greeting our guests and welcoming home our residents,” said City of Wabash Mayor Scott Long. “I trust in the work that Visit Wabash County does and I am thankful for our
partnership.”
The letters of “Wabash” each highlight a different signature asset specific to the City of Wabash.
In order each letter features a signature of the City including Trolley No.85, Wabash Carnegie Public Library, Modoc the elephant from Modoc’s Market, Eagles Theatre, Charley Creek Gardens, and Paradise Spring Historical Park, with the background image being taken at White
Rock Recreation showcasing the Wabash River.
The gateway billboards were designed by Visit Wabash County’s own Creative Lead, Brittany Riner, who joined the team nearly 1 year ago. She serves as the organization’s key graphic designer and visual arts specialist.
Leaders gathered to celebrate the installation of the gateways and posed for a photo to mark the event.
“Visit Wabash County knows the importance of being a welcoming community and nothing says ‘Welcome to Wabash’ like a big bright billboard showcasing some of our neatest places to adventure, said Jan Roland, Visit Wabash County board president. “The slogan across the bottom says ‘It all starts with an adventure!’ and we challenge those who see it to explore
Wabash.”
