Visit Wabash County announces Winter Maker Tour

WABASH, IN - Visit Wabash County officials announce the return of a favorite immersive tour. Tickets for the Winter Maker Tour will go on sale online (www.visitwabashcounty.com) and in person (Welcome Center, 221 Sj Miami St, Wabash) on December 19 at noon.

The Winter Maker Tour will take place on Saturday, January 20 from 9 AM to 12 PM and the cost is $35 per person. Trolley No.85 will pick up and drop off downtown at the Welcome Center. Join us for a creative morning exploring Wabash County.

“Wabash County has a wealth of creative individuals that work in all different kinds of art mediums,” said Jennifer Long-Dillon, tourism manager for Visit Wabash County. “I can’t wait to share an inside look at Candie Cooper’s creative space. I am excited to share this immersive tour with the public and am grateful to Rea Logan & Co. for sponsoring the Winter Maker Tour and Wabash Castings as the 2024 Premier Trolley No.85 sponsor.”

Start the morning off by meeting Jennifer and Stephanie at the Welcome Center, home of Trolley No.85, with a coffee from Modoc’s Market. Hop on board Trolley No.85 and travel to the Wabash Women's Clubhouse to meet Mary and Karyn from Whimsy Chicks. Create a Valentine-themed craft and discover more about Whimsy Chicks. The next stop is at Candie Cooper’s warehouse, where you will get a behind-the-scenes look at her space and create a Tila bead bracelet with instructions from Candie herself! To top off the tour, travel to 4 Partners in Crime on Canal Street. Spend time with owner and artist Julie Dickey in her upstairs creative space and then build your own delicious and beautiful charcuterie cup, taught by the artist herself.

“Wabash County is rich with creative makers, from the art of jewelry making to craft cocktails and from spaces that enable people to create in and draw inspiration from,” said Biz Bishop, content manager for Visit Wabash County. “This tour is just a small sampling of the artistic talent found throughout Wabash County.” The tour is limited to 34 people with an age requirement of at least 10 years old or older.

Trolley No. 85 tour programs are supported by the City of Wabash, J.M. Reynolds Oil Company, and other local partners. For more information about this tour or for the full 2024 Trolley Tour lineup, go to VisitWabashCounty.com/trolley-tours.
