WABASH, IN- The Wabash Cannonball Chili for Charity Cook-Off (WCCC), which takes place the third Saturday in October each year, continues to be one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, October 19th, 2024 beginning at noon.
Over the years, the Cook-Off has raised an impressive $740,000, including Wabash County United Fund’s generous matching grant, adding up to $10,000 annually to event donations. All proceeds raised for and during this fun and exciting cook-off competition are donated to local charities who support our community by providing much needed food, transportation, housing, education, and many other important causes— all within Wabash County.
Emily Overlander, President of Wabash Cannonball Chili for Charity announced, “In honor of the 2024 chili cook-off event, the committee is excited to share that 24 Wabash County charitable organizations will benefit from this year’s event! These 24 recipients will be spotlighted both online and on the radio leading up to the event, as we aim to bring awareness of these organizations to our community— and to highlight the wonderful work they do.
