Wabash Police Department receives grant funding for Youth Outreach Program

WABASH, IN— The Wabash Police Department proudly announces the receipt of grant funding aimed at enhancing and continuing our youth outreach initiatives in our community. This funding will support the programs designed to engage and empower local youth, fostering positive relationships and mentorships with law enforcement officers. The announcement comes during a special ceremony honoring the heroic actions of several individuals who played a crucial role in saving a life. The Wabash Fire Department, Wabash County Central Dispatch, and two Walmart Associates were recognized for their quick thinking and teamwork when they administered CPR to a coworker in distress. Their swift actions exemplify the dedication and bravery present in our community. The ceremony highlighted the importance of community collaboration, showcasing how the efforts of local departments and citizens can make a significant impact.
